Course Overview
In this training, we will teach you how to use project management techniques, collaboration tools, capacity planning, and agile games to improve team performance, and conflict management.
Scrum Master Accountability:
- Accountable for the overall effectiveness of the team by enabling the teams improve its practices, within the scrum framework
- Serves the team by facilitating removal of impediments to progress and helping them to focus on creating high-value increments
- Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Accountable for establishing Scrum as defined by the Scrum Guide
- Coaches the team and entire organisation on Scrum adoption, principles and practices, self-management, and cross-functionality.
- Facilitates scrum events, ensuring they take place, and they are productive
- Removes conflicts within the team and fosters an environment where team members feel psychologically safe
- Helping find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management;
- Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
- Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
- Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
- Removing barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams.

Agile Scrum Ceremonies:
Sprint Planning:
This is a meeting for the team to consider items of work to be completed and commits to what they have capacity to deliver during the coming Sprint.
Daily Stand-Up:
This is a 15-minute team meeting to provide updates and progress of individual work done towards adding value to product development.
Scrum Review:
This is where the team showcases what they have completed for the Stakeholders’ review and feedback and get a sign-off.
Scrum Retrospective:
This is a meeting where the team reflects on their performance during the current Sprint and seek ways to improve their interaction, practices and lessons learnt
Sprint:
This is a cycle of work for the team (can be 1 - 4 weeks interval)
